Arrival: Destination Lihue, Kaua'i

Most flights arrive between 5:00pm and 10:00 pm. Delta and USAir often have the best rates. If you need a rental car, be sure to reserve in advance. Other retreaters may be arriving around the same time. It's an excellent opportunity to carpool and roomshare. If you choose to taxi to your hotel, cost will be near $30 one way. Tax fare to the retreat may be $60 one way. A phone is available at the INFO DESK curbside.

Car rental and carpooling with others is recommended. The drive from the airport is 20 miles or approximately 30 minute to our locations.

Departure:

You'll be about 35 minutes from Lihue Airport (LIH). Flights depart early afternoon and evening. Following retreat closure, you may enjoy the afternoon at your leisure to further explore the island. There are numerous places to relax, revisit, find quiet time, shop or swim.

Directions to Retreat Location from Lihue Airport:

When you leave the airport, go right onto Hwy. 51 (Kuhio Highway), which will take you through the picturesque town of Kapaa, and continue past Anahola until you reach "mile marker" 19. The intersection just beyond is Kapuna Road. Turn left and travel approximately 1/4 mile to the sign with a tree on it, "Hale Luana," on the fencepost, which will be 4680 Kapuna Road. (If you get to the cul de sac, you've gone too far.) Turn right onto the coral road which dips down and then up the other side. At the split in the road, the Guest House is on the right and the Bed & Breakfast is to the left. Park to the right of either house in the designated parking spaces.
